Exploring The Truth Behind Michael Jackson’s Changing Skin Tone

Why Did Michael Jackson Change His Skin

Many people wonder why did Michael Jackson change his skin. Misleading news confuses the public so that not a few thought that he did it deliberately to make himself look more Caucasian.

However, it’s just trick tabloids have fed that into people’s minds.

Then what is the truth? Let’s take a look

Why Did Michael Jackson Change His Skin?

As a teenager, Michael Jackson suffered from severe acne but did not show the skin disease that made his skin color change later in life.

While recording his single “Ben“, his skin condition doesn’t look normal either.

In the mid-1980s, Jackson was diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune skin disease that damages tissue in his skin.

After being diagnosed with Lupus, he was later diagnosed with Vitiligo, a rare disease that can damage skin pigment

As an adult, Michael Jackson’s appearance began to change. His nose has become thinner and his skin has become lighter as a result of Vitiligo, which destroys the skin’s pigment.

Media reports and critics stated that he wanted to look whiter by having extensive cosmetic surgery which then sparked a public discussion about his mental health.

Jackson denied it and said that he accidentally bleached his skin. He also made it clear that he wasn’t trying to be anything he wasn’t.

He also explained that he had been diagnosed with Vitiligo, which causes white patches on the skin and sensitivity to sunlight.

To treat the disease, he uses makeup to even out his skin. When his condition got worse, he used prescription creams to depigment his skin.

In 1993, Jackson was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and discussed skin problems for the first time in public.

At that time, he was publicly criticized for bleaching his skin. But Jackson tried to dispel rumors that he bleached his skin in an attempt to look more Caucasian.

He did not reveal the name of the disease that caused the color of the skin on his hands to change, but he told that the rumors about him being dissatisfied with his own race were very painful for him.

Michael Jackson has always said that he loves the black race and he is proud and honored by it. He also always denied the accusations of skin bleaching and never listened to them.

I have a skin disorder that destroys the pigmentation of the skin,” said Jackson. “It’s something I cannot help. When people make up stories that I don’t like who I am, it hurts me.”.

Michael Jackson’s explanation of why his skin color changed was met with empathy and skepticism from a public who had been wondering about the pop singer’s drastic change.

Even so, there are still people who don’t believe his statement, but they have never researched anything to prove what they are saying.

Don’t judge a person, do not pass judgment, unless you have talked to them one on one. I don’t care what the story is, do not judge them because it is a lie.“, Michael Jackson said.

Some people, especially those with a similar illness, fully believed in him. Others, including his longtime friend and mentor Quincy Jones, ignored Jackson’s claims.

When Did Michael Jackson Go Solo? This Is The Timeline

But let’s go back a few years to see a different perspective.

10 years before Jackson’s candid interview with Winfrey, his personal dermatologist Arnold Klein observed symptoms of Vitiligo on Jackson’s hands and body, the Washington Post explained.

The pop king who spoke publicly is probably the most famous person to publicly reveal his Vitiligo disease, although this condition affects thousands of people every year.

Doctors at the University of Massachusetts Vitiligo Clinic and Research Center say that he was good at covering up his Vitiligo and there’s no doubt that he treats the disease with the prescription de-pigmenting cream, Benoquin.

The disgraced doctor who served two years of a four-year sentence for the death of Michael Jackson, Conrad Murray, admitted that he applied a whitening cream to the singer’s body every night.

When Jackson died (in 2009 to be exact), his once chocolate-brown skin suddenly became very white.

Shortly after his death, CNN revealed that Jackson’s corpse was “lily-white from head to toe” and his paper-white skin “as white as a tee-shirt.“.

While examining Jackson’s body at Ronald Reagan Medical Center in Los Angeles, Dr. Christopher Rogers noted “some areas of the skin appear light and others appear dark” which consistently indicated that it was Vitiligo.

And that’s a bit of a story about why did Michael Jackson change his skin. How do you respond? Please write in the comments! 😊
